Former FCB client services manager Simon Teagle has taken a diversion from his long media agency career to enter the OOH world, where he has been appointed general manager at nationwide bus & billboard company Go Media.

He’s previously worked at DDB and Starcom. And his trophy cabinet contains a rare gem – a Cannes Media Gold Lion. He’s also helped FCB Media to Media Agency of the Year gongs for the last two years running.

Teagle says he has a long-standing relationship with Go MD Mike Gray, which he is looking forward to renewing.

“It’s great to attract someone of Simon’s calibre to the OOH industry,” said Gray. “He will be working on our partnerships at a senior level, and marketing the rollout of our digital portfolio.”

Paora Maxwell exits Maori TV
Maori Television ceo Paora Maxwell has resigned his position, three years into his five-year contract.

NBR writer Nick Grant says the official release contains no reference to reports of tension between Maxwell and the Maori Television board.

In the announcement, Maxwell said the “difficult decision” was prompted by “changing family and business circumstances,” and that it had been a “tremendous privilege to have led the channel through a challenging era for the entire industry”.

Maxwell will remain as chief executive until August and then serve out the remainder of the year in a consultation role.
