The Epica Awards has extended its entry deadline to Friday 13 October 13. Epica is the only global ad show judged by journalists (of whom M+AD ed David Gapes is one).

“The date may be considered unlucky in some cultures, but the Friday the 13th deadline offers late entrants an additional chance to win a prize and pick up a trophy at the Epica Awards show in Berlin,” says this year’s jury president Spencer Baim, chief strategic officer of Vice Media NYC says.

“Plus, the winners and high-scoring entries will feature in the glossy annual Epica Book, published by Bloomsbury London.”

The jurors are drawn from leading advertising, design and communications titles around the world, as well as specialists in distinct fields such as fashion, film production and technology.

Winners who come to the Berlin show on November 16 will also be able to attend the annual Creative Circle conference, whose theme this year is The Creative Singularity – where technology meets creativity.

From artificial intelligence to big data and fake news, it will cover some of the biggest issues of the day.

Baim: “So please spread the word to agencies and their brands. With any luck, they won’t miss the deadline.”
