Ponsonby-based brand agency Brave and downtown Auckland PR shop Crave are helping to celebrate the arrival on the market of a NZ-made premium pre-mixed cocktail from Sundown Gin of Tauranga.

“Sundown has introduced a fresh approach for a sexier, more sophisticated audience,” said Premium Liquor Company founder Hamish Gordon in a release.

“Sundown Gin is a premium cocktail from a newly-formed company that tastes as good as it looks,” he said.

“Sundown is launching with a 100% natural gin garden pop-up at the Glass Goose rooftop bar in Federal St, Auckland. For the month of March, customers can experience an immersive gin garden and embrace the last few warm summer nights with DJ sets inspired by the refreshing drink.

“You won’t find nasty preservatives in this cheeky little pre-mix because Sundown is New Zealand made from 100 per cent natural ingredients.

“Developed with the expertise of liquor legend Mike MacKay and made in sunny Tauranga, the three flavour profiles of Sundown include Gin & Tonic with Lemon; Gin, Lime & Mint with Soda; and Gin & Cucumber with Soda – and yes, it’s real cucumber, which is sourced locally from the Bay of Plenty.

“Brave & Crave are using a multi tiered approach, including outdoor, social, print, online, radio and PR.”

“Each Sundown flavour is made using dry gin featuring traditional botanicals, plus an added Kiwi twist of Kawakawa and Horopito.

“Gin is one of the fastest growing alcohol categories globally, so we wanted to produce our very own premium product right here in New Zealand that is 100% natural.

“Best enjoyed over ice when the sun is out, Sundown Gin might just become your new summer favourite.”

Brave & Crave are using a multi tiered approach to Sundown’s advertising, including outdoor, on premise, social, sampling, activation, print, online, radio and PR, says Sundown brand director Jason Anderson.

Containing a 7% ABV in 250ml bottles, Sundown Gin is available now in a number of on premise locations and will be sold in 4-packs (RRP$14.99) selectively throughout New Zealand.
