The top-ranking countries are the US (No 1 with 182 Pencils), the UK (#2 with 164 Pencils), Australia #3 with 54 Pencils), France & Germany (=4 with 30 Pencils each).

The most successful global agency group was Dentsu, with 19 Pencils.

D&AD preliminary judging came to a close with 733 Pencils awarded in total, decided by juries made up of 200 top global creatives.

D&AD ceo Tim Lindsay said: “D&AD Festival 2017 is well under way and it is a spectacular explosion of creativity. From today the 26,000 pieces of work that have been entered into the D&AD Professional Awards can be viewed by all, and we would encourage everyone to take in the sheer breadth of creative excellence that is on show this year.

“We can’t wait to share the winners with you at the ceremony tomorrow.”
