Kiwi YouTube sensation Shannon Harris, aka ShaaanXO, is set to make her debut appearance at VidCon this week in Los Angeles. Earlier this month, Harris’ ShaaanXO YouTube channel hit three million subscribers, which her management team at Johnson & Laird says continues her reign as the #1 Most Subscribed YouTube Channel in New Zealand.
Now in its 8th year, VidCon is a multi-genre online video conference and the biggest event in the world for internet video creators and their fans. This year’s event runs this week in Anaheim, California, and Harris will be appearing as a Featured Creator on two VidCon panels:
The Beauty and the Brand’ CreatorTrack panel will feature Harris amongst a group of savvy creators who will discuss how they have turned their passion for beauty into a business. The session runs this Friday 23 June 23.
Harris admits to being nervous about appearing at VidCon: “I’m naturally quite a shy person so appearing at events like VidCon definitely take me out of my comfort zone – but it’s worth a few nerves as it’s a chance for me to meet other content creators from around the world and, most importantly, the viewers who support me by watching my content!”
In September, Harris will travel to Melbourne to appear at VidCon Australia, along with fellow New Zealand YouTuber Caito Potatoe.
