NZME. has announced they are expanding their offer to clients to connect with audiences through the creation of NZME. Events and NZME. Experiential.

NZME. Events is a new division of the company dedicated to producing world-class business, lifestyle and live entertainment experiences. NZME. currently produces business events such as Deloitte Top 200 and Mood of the Boardroom, lifestyle events such as the Viva Sessions and three regional Home Shows and the community-led event, Pride of New Zealand Awards.

The company also produces the iHeartRadio concert series that most recently attracted in excess of 55,000 registrations for tickets to the Ed Sheeran concert. “That’s the sort of calibre and innovation we intend to grow,” said group strategy & operations director Carolyn Luey.

“NZME. Events will produce premiere experiences that are powerful vehicles for advertisers and that can deliver significant social and economic impact to the community,” she said.

The new national events division focused on growing business and lifestyle events and developing commercial event opportunities, will be driven by Ash Lomberg as group events director – business and lifestyle.

Luey says Lomberg has delivered strongly for the company in the last 18 months across a number of business development initiatives including the acquisition and delivery of the Deloitte Top 200.

Along with NZME. Events the company has announced an expanded activations division, NZME. Experiential. Mike Lane will lead the team after two and a half years of strong business performance for NZME. delivering results for New Zealand’s top brands and engaging local communities.

“Advertisers here and all over the world are hungry for innovation, audiences demand it and that’s what we excel at,” said Lane. “We have the ability to take national brands to the heart of local communities across 26 markets and we never lose sight of delivering on our clients’ competitive objectives, which is why experiential has seen 46% year on year growth in 2014 for NZME.”

Commercial director Sandra King says NZME. Experiential is the new front door to disruptive and effective activations. “It’s a one-stop shop for clients to access the best experiential team in the industry and to leverage the power of NZME.’s audiences and media,” she said.

NZME. ceo Jane Hastings says the company wants to take audience engagement to the next level. “It’s a highly competitive market and our clients need disruptive ways to stand out and get results. Given the strength of our audiences and brands combined with the power of our insights team it was a natural extension for us to lead the expansion into the experiential and events spaces.

“Audiences are evolving every day and you just can’t stand still.

“We are focused on developing exciting, engaging and commercially successful events and with our expanded experiential division, Mike Lane and his team are already recognised as the leading creative thinkers in activation marketing so we are looking forward to a strong year ahead,” she said.
