The Association of NZ Advertisers holds it annual TAPS briefing in Auckland next month. TAPS? Therapeutic Advertising Prevetting System. “This briefing is for advertisers and their agencies who market any form of therapeutic product or service in New Zealand,” says ANZA ceo Lindsay Mouat.

The briefing takes place at Waipuna Hotel, Mt Wellington, on Wednesday 5 November (scroll down for the details)

“Advertising in the therapeutics sector is complex,” Mouat says. “Our annual briefing will be of value for all marketers responsible for advertising therapeutic products and services including natural health  products, over the counter medicines, prescriptions, medicines and medical devices.”

Presentations will include:

  • Update from the Advertising Standards Authority
  • Recent decisions from the Advertising Standards Complaints Board
  • Changes to Food Legislation from the Ministry for Primary Industries and how this will affect you
  • TAPS interpretation and implementation of Edition 16 of the Medicines NZ Code of Practice
  • Issues relating to comparative advertising
  • How to make the most of the TAPS service
