G.J. Gardner, with brand expertise courtesy of 99 and The Workshop, has launched its new brand campaign We’re Locals Like You – based on six TVCs shot across the country to illustrate the broad community strength of G.J. Gardner.

This weekend saw the ad’s shot in Hamilton and Christchurch going to air with the Queenstown and Southland commercials having aired at the end of March. Ads from Tauranga and Manawatu are still to come. (That’s the Christchurch version at the top of this page – scroll down to unload the other five.)

The spots feature local franchisees who have largely come from the region or have spent a number of years building good relationships and businesses in their communities. The ads focus on the value of having local people on the ground building homes for their customers but also the benefit of having a nationwide company offering support, systems, processes and buying power to deliver their clients great value, high quality homes.

“The Workshop is 99’s straight-to-production offer with a focus on cost and time-efficient delivery.”

“As one of the nation’s cornerstone building companies, the campaign highlights G.J. Gardner’s ability to leverage its national expertise and translate this into how they benefit the communities they work in and the bespoke needs of their customers,” said The Workshop managing partner Angela Bird.

Grant Porteous, MD for Deacon Holdings, the master franchise for G.J. Gardner Homes, said: “G.J. Gardner Homes offers the best of both worlds. We have 28 local teams across the country that take pride in their regions and love providing a professional yet local service to their clients.

We know the value of being local, by using local trades and suppliers not only helps the community but also ensures we deliver the best product possible to our customers. These ads go a long way to reassuring people that whilst we may be national we are certainly local.”

The Workshop is 99’s straight-to-production offer with a focus on cost and time-efficient delivery.

“We are really proud of these ads, not only because G.J. Gardner have trusted us to create their first brand advertising campaign but also because it demonstrates the in-house talent and facilities we have to deliver work of this standard,” Angela Bird said.
