AUCKLAND, Monday: Independent PR agency Adhesive has announced the appointment of Eleisha Balmer as its new head of PR in New Zealand, replacing Lwindi Ellis who – after three years in the job – has departed to spend more time at home with her family.

Balmer – a well-known and respected personality in the NZ PR scene – joins the Auckland-based office where she will lead the team and client portfolio across a diverse range of industries including; consumer tech, travel, insurance and eCommerce.

Following six years at Mango, she offers a wealth of experience in driving effective communications campaigns and has worked with Accor Hotels, Specsavers, Breville, Tourism Fiji, H&M, DDB and Beam Suntory.

Adhesive is still proudly independent and the agency now operates across three offices in Sydney, London and Auckland.

“We wouldn’t have the very strong New Zealand foundation without Lwindi’s hard work.”

Sydney-based Adhesive founder/MD Mike Maurice said: “The agency has invested heavily into specialists who lead teams that service traditional media relations, content production and strategy, digital and social, corporate communications, B2B, sponsorship leverage, media training and experiential.

“We’re extremely excited to have Eleisha join the team. From the outset we were impressed with her critical thinking and approach to problem solving. She comes with a strong background and experience, so we couldn’t happier to have her on-board to take Adhesive to the next level in Auckland.

“I would also like to thank Lwindi Ellis whom Eleisha takes the reins from as NZ head of PR. We wouldn’t have the very strong New Zealand foundation without Lwindi’s hard work.”

Balmer said: “One of the reasons I knew Adhesive was the right move for me was the agency structure and the talent within the team.

“With an in-house creative director, a head of integration and a B2B & issues lead in addition to the smart, ambitious, talented practitioners, there isn’t a brief we can’t tackle.”

Adhesive’s New Zealand client portfolio includes Sony Electronics, Dyson, Singapore Tourism Board, The Iconic, Los Angeles Tourism, Allianz Partners NZ and Changi Airport Group.
