AUCKLAND, Today: Colenso BBDO had a huge 2024 — crowned Cannes Lions Agency of the Year (Pacific), scoring new clients, and nabbing New Zealand’s first ever Immortal Award. Now they’re growing the creative bench.

Four new senior hires have joined the team at the top of College Hill: creative duo Mitchell Crowe and Ben Carroll, Senior Art Director Julia Ferrier, and returning Senior Art Director Harry Skelton.

Mitch and Ben come from Augusto, where they led global Adidas work — including three Move For The Planet campaigns — and built a portfolio featuring some of the biggest names in sport.

Julia joins from Clemenger, where she helped shape Ministry of Social Development’s ‘Love Creep’ and ‘Broken Hearts’ campaigns, and created ‘Let your body go to work’ for Te Whatu Ora.

Before that, she helped a merman sparkle in Kathmandu’s ‘Summer Never Sleeps’ via Special, and picked up a Cannes Grand Prix in London with FCB for Pearson’s ‘Project Literacy’.

Harry makes his return to Colenso after time overseas capturing street shots in dive bars across Southeast Asia, then freelancing on brands like DOC and Balter Beer here in NZ and Australia.

“New people bring new points of view, new inspiration, and new ways of looking at old problems. I’m so proud of what our creative department has achieved together, but what we do next will always be more important. Adding Julia, Harry, Ben and Mitch to our team sets us up for 2025 and beyond,” says Si Vicars, Chief Creative Officer at Colenso.
