Boyd PR wields Excalibur

AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Newmarket-based Boyd PR has been shortlisted for The Holmes Report’s 2019 APAC Sabre Awards in two categories for its Mazda NZ WOW [World of Wearable Arts] My Town campaign.

The agency’s work is through in Singapore in the Sponsorship and Australia/NZ categories.

The Sabres are a prestigious global PR comp, recognising “superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement”.


“The Sabre Awards winners will be announced at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, in September.”

The shortlist was selected from 1600 entries, and evaluated by a jury of 45 industry leaders, at separate sessions in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Boyd PR MD John Boyd says the agency is incredibly proud to be in the running for the awards.

“We’re lucky to have clients that trust us and aren’t afraid to think outside the box,” he said. “Mazda NZ has been a fantastic client for a number of years, so to have this campaign recognised at the Sabres is really special.”

WOW My Town was also shortlisted for the 2019 PR Awards Asia awards and awarded Silver in the 2019 Bulldog PR Awards in the Best Arts & Entertainment Campaign category.

The Sabre Awards winners will be announced at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, on September 12.
