NAPIER, Today: Mission Estate Winery has appointed Jo Pearson – Hawkes Bay born and raised – as their marketing manager.

The company says (in a release from The PR Shop Auckland): “With 18 years’ experience in the wine industry, Pearson brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.

“She has always been passionate about grape growing and wine making which led her to enrol in a post-grad diploma in viticulture & oenology at Lincoln University, after having worked at a vintage in California’s Sonoma Valley.”

“Pearson has worked extensively on sales and marketing strategy across North America and NZ.”

Since then, Pearson moved into the marketing and sales arena in late 2008 at Sacred Hill, where she managed marketing operations and the NZ distributor relationship.

During her time there, Pearson project managed development and delivery at their sales company, now known as Quench Collective, and once this was up and running, worked to develop strategy and embed processes and new ways of working.

Following this, she worked extensively on sales and marketing strategy across North America and New Zealand.

At Mission Estate, Pearson will focus on tourism and dining & entertainment fields, while also managing global marketing for Mission Estate and the recently acquired Ngatarawa brands, and the Hawke’s Bay Cellar Door business.
