Bauer Media has appointed Susannah Walker as editor of Metro magazine, effective from the November issue. Walker takes over the role from Simon Wilson, who will step back to more of a fulltime senior writer role.
Walker is ex Next, and has been a publisher at News Custom Publishing in Melbourne. Most recently, she was the national travel editor at Fairfax Media, based in Auckland.
“The Metro editor role is a highly sought after position and Susannah stood out as an experienced journalist who will take this prestigious brand forward and continue its stellar growth across its numerous platforms,” said publisher Brendon Hill.
