Melbourne/Sydney-based Australian Labor Party agency Moss Group has launched its first television work for Labour NZ since winning the account last week – and already a strong similarity with the agency’s ALP work is emerging.

The 60-second video features Andrew Little talking about “the issues” and touches on his experiences as a father and cancer patient.

As you might expect, it exhibits a striking resemblance to recent election videos out of Australia’s Labor Party.

It’s not clear who shot the NZ ad – what is clear is that the creative was done in-house at Moss Group.

Also made clear is Labour NZ’s hunt for funding – the tvc blurb accompany the ad’s Youtube posting says: “If you’re ready for Labour’s fresh approach, chip in to help us get this ad in front of more voters here: www.labour.org.nz/chipin
