Contagion & Harmoney take on the establishment

Freemans Bay indie Contagion has won the Harmoney advertising account – across strategy, creative, social and media – after a fast three-way pitch.

“New Zealand’s most successful peer-to-peer lending marketplace was looking for a partner who could take the company into the future,” said Contagion managing director Dean Taylor.

Harmoney Australasia GM of sales & marketing Monica Mathis agreed: “We needed an agency that could assist us take our brand to the next level.

As a a peer-to-peer marketplace, Harmoney is one of handful of game-changing Kiwi tech companies that has the opportunity to challenge the financial industry’s status quo from here in New Zealand. Having launched just 18 months ago, Harmoney last week passed the milestone of enabling more than NZ$200 million to be lent and borrowed through its marketplace.

“It’s not often you get the chance to work with a brand in New Zealand that is really ahead of the game,” says Contagion social influence director Tom Bates.
