The Public Relations Institute has appointed Elaine Koller as its new ceo, replacing Simone Bell, who has stood down after four years in the role.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Elaine Koller to take over from Simone Bell as the CEO of PRINZ later this month.

Koller is a communications leader with a track record in external communications and media relations, crisis and reputation management, internal communications and change management, stakeholder and government relations and event management.

She has been running her own Auckland-based consultancy and was previously NZ public affairs manager for MYOB, external relations manager at IBM and has agency experience.

Bell had been PRINZ ceo since November 2011. “In that time she has led the institute to a sustainable future with solid financial and business acumen, always delivered with a dedication to professionalism,” PRINZ president Bruce Fraser said.

“Elaine will work with the PRINZ national council to continue to implement the 2014-2017 strategic plan, continuing the institute’s role as advocate for the profession.”

Simone Bell keeps the ceo seat warm until Koller takes up the position at the end of March.
