KFC continues to build on its Finger Lickin’ Good platform with the release of their latest 30 second brand spot from Ogilvy & Mather New Zealand via Scoundrel Films.
Last year’s launch featured a dancing cleaner set to Hungry Eyes and this year’s spot follows on with an equally recognisable track.
Set to Ridin’ by Chamillionaire, and shot in the style of a hip-hop video, the spot follows a group of young-at-heart octogenarians out for a late-night joyride after a quick stop at a KFC drive-thru.
“What do you get when you combine chicken, mobility scooters and a classic hip-hop track?” says O&M ECD Regan Grafton “A pretty memorable ad we think.”
Restaurant Brands MD Clark Wilson said: “This spot captures what Finger Lickin’ Good is all about, showing KFC as a catalyst for good times and letting go amongst friends. Paired with a music track that’s sure to make you smile, we think the ad will resonate strongly with our audience.”
The spot went on yesterday, 29 August.
