CHRISTCHURCH, Today: Strategy Creative (branches in Australia, NZ and Japan) has partnered with ChristchurchNZ, the city’s economic development agency, to communicate the narrative of the revitalised Christchurch city.
The narrative is centred around positioning Christchurch as a destination to explore, and is aimed at presenting the city as an attractive destination.
At the centre of this partnership is a video that has been created to bring the story of Christchurch to life using imagery from around the city, with a narrative centred on ‘the spirit of exploration’.
Strategy Creative Christchurch managing partner Nick Harvey said: “Christchurch was founded on a spirit of exploration and has always been about new beginnings, explorers, innovators and people doing things differently.
“ChristchurchNZ have allowed us to present the city in a new light, in a way to promote more economic growth towards the future.”
“The video was produced in partnership with award-winning video production company, Orly, and has been well received in the market, creating a stir among Cantabrians and New Zealanders outside of Christchurch.”
Strategy Creative and ChristchurchNZ also developed an online toolkit of resources aimed at helping Christchurch businesses, stakeholders, collaborators and partners shape their individual narratives and share them with the world.

“ChristchurchNZ have really allowed us to present the city in a new light, in a way to get even more people back into the city, promoting more economic growth towards the future.”
