AUCKLAND, Today: Mobile engagement specialist Big Mobile last week held its inaugural agency basketball competition with six digital agencies – Stanley St, OMD, PHD, FCB, Mediacom and Dentsu.
The tournament was made up with 3 v 3 half court mixed basketball, with two pools of four competing for a place in the semifinals.
The semis came down to Dentsu vs PHD, and FCB vs OMD Knicks. “Both games were fiercely contested, but the drama unfolded in the FCB vs OMD game,” reports Big NZ director Michael Buhagiar.
“FCB narrowly won the game after a free throw right on the fulltime buzzer. But Dentsu showed their dominance in the series, with a strong final game to claim the overall series win.
“All the agency teams had a great time and it was much more competitive than first expected with some great players and an ex Tall Black showing us how it’s done. Many are asking for a rematch in 2020 already – stay tuned for more details.
