AUCKLAND, Monday: Ponsonby indie YoungShand has been awarded the creative & media business of green power provider Flick Electric in a competitive pitch.
There was, apparently, a creative incumbent, but nobody from Flick was available at press time to identify this agency.
YoungShand GM Emma Dalton said: “Flick, the Kiwi power company with a conscience, has always been an activist within the power sector, known for its excellent customer service and competitive, innovative pricing models.
“Following a challenging period in which the power sector has allowed prices to rise due to the dominance of gentailers, Flick is holding firm, challenging for fairness and transparency for every Kiwi.
“YoungShand is set to deliver brand activity, product and seasonal campaigns, and media services, effective immediately.”
“Flick has always been an activist brand; that’s what excited us about this new partnership. We’re looking forward to partnering with chief marketing officer Sunil Unka and the team to make a difference for all Kiwis.
“This approach was part of the reason Flick recently won Best Electricity Retailer of the Year at the Energy Excellence Awards.
Sunil Unka said (in a released statement): “We were really impressed with the strategic rigour and mix of media strategy and bold creative thinking that YoungShand displayed throughout the pitch process.
“The team have already immersed themselves in our business and don’t hold back from challenging us, so we’re excited about what we can do together.”
YoungShand is set to deliver brand activity, product and seasonal campaigns, and media services, effective immediately.
