NEW YORK, Sunday: New Zealand has scored four shortlist places – all to Special Group; three shared with Sweet Shop – at the New York Festivals AME Awards, which celebrate advertising & marketing effectiveness.

Special’s campaigns had good company – including Saatchi Sydney, several Canadian agencies, and agencies from Chile, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UAR, Emirates, UK, and USA.

In all, 30 nations are through to the last rounds.

  • Tourism NZ Good Morning World (in Travel & Tourism)
  • Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle in the NZ Election (in Government/Politics)
  • Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle in the NZ Election (in Socially Conscious Content – a new category)
  • Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle in the NZ Election (Creativity for Positive Impact)
  • Every Kiwi Vote Counts Meddle in the NZ Election, with Sweet Shop (in Low Budget – Under $US100,000))

The 150+ members of the 2021 AME grand jury panel comprised of ceos, CCOs, founders, MDs, chief strategy officers, and creative executives.

Awards director Gayle Mandel said: “The successful campaigns utilised a wide spectrum of strategies to improve brand relevance, create engagement, and deliver results.

“Agencies employed strategic brand partnerships, cause marketing, co-branding, gamification, data-driven marketing, branded entertainment, digital and immersive event.
