AUCKLAND, Today: Ogilvy in New Zealand and online marketplace TheMarket have launched a new campaign that aims to redefine how Kiwis shop.

Launched in 2019 and backed by The Warehouse Group, TheMarket is a NZ e-commerce platform, giving Kiwis access to millions of products from international, local, and niche brands, all in one place.

It attracts millions of visits per month and the new Ogilvy campaign is set to accelerate that growth by getting as many New Zealanders as possible to do their shopping on www.themarket.com.

Featuring a 15” and 30” TVC, the new ads are running across TV, online video and OOH, the whole campaign is shoppable, with all props and wardrobe featured coming directly from TheMarket and QR codes allowing people to shop those products on the spot.

The campaign will peak in the lead-up to Christmas.

“This campaign is designed to increase awareness of TheMarket outside of the Auckland region.”

TheMarket’s GM of marketing Catalina Wilkinson said: “This campaign is designed to increase awareness of TheMarket outside of the Auckland region and ultimately drive preference.

“TheMarket offers New Zealanders a huge range of products, plus amazing deals and free delivery options all in one easy search experience – it’s the online marketplace and we should be proud to call it our own. That’s the essence of the campaign that Ogilvy in NZ has delivered for us.”

Ogilvy executive creative director Kristal Knight said: “We think TheMarket is the best thing to happen to shopping in New Zealand since shopping began. We wanted to create a campaign that redefines shopping, reminding people that TheMarket allows you to shop on your own terms – no more queues, no parking hassles, just you in your own pocket-sized retail palace. It’s everything you’re looking for in one search bar, without the need to put on pants.”

Ogilvy in New Zealand managing partner Megan Clark Cook said: “The agency is very proud of TheMarket.com campaign. TheMarket team is a joy to work with and we collaborated closely with them every step of the way. The end result delivers on the promise that TheMarket exemplifies the way shopping was always meant to be.”
