AUCKLAND, Today: DoorDash is going big in Aotearoa, launching its biggest local brand campaign yet – complete with a Kiwi superhero, high-energy creative, and a nostalgic anthem remix.
Created with creative agency Federation, the campaign introduces Dash – a friendly, no-nonsense delivery hero with a high-vis cape and perfect timing.
He’s not your average superhero, but Dash always comes through when hunger hits. Fast, dependable, and a little bit cheeky – he’s pure Kiwi spirit in action.
To level things up, DoorDash remixed Queen’s cult hit Flash into a custom campaign track, now reimagined as “Dash!” The remix was done with full blessing from Queen guitarist Brian May’s team – giving the ad some serious rock cred.
“Dash is the embodiment of everything DoorDash represents – fast, reliable, and always there when you need him.” – Bradley Thomas

“The integration of music in advertising is a powerful tool for emotional connection and brand storytelling, and having a legendary Queen track will make this DoorDash campaign iconic. Having a kickass superhero in the mix, helps too,” said Brad Collett, Chief Creative Officer of Federation.
The campaign will be everywhere – from TV and digital, to billboards, radio, print, socials and more. You won’t miss it.
“Dash is the embodiment of everything DoorDash represents – fast, reliable, and always there when you need him. Best of all he adds a good dose of relatability and Kiwi humour to every situation he is summoned to,” said Bradley Thomas, General Manager, DoorDash NZ.
“We’re so excited to launch this campaign and know New Zealanders are going to love Dash.”
The campaign kicks off today with the first of three 30-second TVCs, starting with Drop the Ball – a classic game day fail turned hero moment.
It marks a bold new phase for DoorDash in New Zealand – delivering with a side of flair, one epic order at a time.
