AUCKLAND, Today: The 2025 NZ Radio & Podcast Awards took place at SkyCity Theatre, with Jeremy Corbett as host and a room full of talent from across the audio industry.
The event celebrated everything from on-air talent and production to sales, podcasts, community work and creativity across the board.
RBA & Awards Chair Jana Rangooni said nearly 600 entries were received, showcasing the strength of local radio and podcasting in Aotearoa.
“Listeners use radio for news, information, entertainment, music and sometimes just for company. In times of emergencies, we are still the primary media people turn to, to find out what’s going on.”
Podcasting continues to boom, with 16 categories this year and 115 entries from a wide mix of creators across the country. “It was great to see that we had 115 entries from a wide range of podcast creators, all of whom are creating world class podcast content.”
