More secrets, more heart. Finding Jade returns

AUCKLAND, Today: One NZ has dropped the second chapter of Finding Jade — the emotional, slightly oddball connection story that first captured attention in May last year, created by FCB Aotearoa.

Last we saw Jade, he’d just arrived at a curious gem shop in the Scottish Highlands, following a lead that could reunite him with his birth mum. Now, his journey of self-discovery continues — with best mate Pepper and One NZ by his side.

This new chapter reveals more about Jade’s biological parents, introduces a few new faces, and keeps the mystery alive as the story sets up for its next twist.

The campaign continues to build on One NZ’s Let’s Get Connected platform — developed last year with FCB and strategist David (DT) Thomason — aimed at celebrating human connection and making hearts swell.

“This second chapter will give people some much needed answers (and create a lot of new questions!) as we continue to tell this ambitious, emotive, and odd story of connection with One NZ for years to come.” – Alan Jones, Angelo An & Hywel James

One NZ Brand Lead Kamran Kazalbash said, “At the heart of finding Jade (and Let’s Get Connected) is the simple insight that humans crave connection, and we, as a telco are in the unique position to facilitate that.

“Kiwi have really connected with Jade and his adventure across the world and it’s wonderful to be able to share this next chapter in his journey and get to know the other characters in his family along the way.

“Of course, there is still much more of this tale to come and the journey is definitely to be continued.”

FCB Creative Directors Alan Jones, Angelo An and Hywel James added, “Since introducing the country to Jade’s odyssey last year, we’ve been asked countless times — what happens next?! It’s clear the public are deeply invested.

“And we don’t want to disappoint. This second chapter will give people some much needed answers (and create a lot of new questions!) as we continue to tell this ambitious, emotive, and odd story of connection with One NZ for years to come.”
