AUSTRALIA, Today: The Marketing Club (TMC) has officially landed in Australia, bringing a fresh, no-BS approach to community-building for marketers in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
It all started in 2022 when founder Chanel Clark launched TMC during mental health leave. What began as a burnout recovery lifeline has become a trans-Tasman community of over 11,000 members—and counting.
“TMC started as a lifeline. It was just me, trying to make sense of my career again. But what I found – and what so many others found – was a real need for something more human in our industry. This isn’t networking for the sake of it. It’s support, conversation and connection that actually matters,” says Clark.
At the heart of TMC is its buzzing Slack group where members trade job leads, advice and support on the daily. Add to that regular events, educational sessions and a structured mentorship program now running across both countries.
“For us, launching in Australia isn’t about ticking a box. It’s about building something marketers actually want.”
After soft-launch events tested the waters in Aussie cities, the full programme is rolling out. Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne will now host a calendar packed with real-talk networking and learning opportunities.
TMC is also launching paid national memberships and dropping a new podcast soon. Expect straight-up career stories—from students and side-hustlers to C-suite leaders and seasoned pros.
There’s more coming, too. TMC’s first major conference, Marketers Day, will take place in Auckland later this year, continuing the club’s mission of building something different.
“For us, launching in Australia isn’t about ticking a box,” says Clark. “It’s about building something marketers actually want. People are tired of gatekeeping and ego-driven events. They want connection, accessibility, and real value.”
TMC is now welcoming members, media, and brand partners across Australia who want in on a grassroots movement built around kindness, collaboration and genuine career growth.
