Meridian fuels Kiwi communities

AUCKLAND, Today: Meridian has kicked off its partnership with 81 by launching the first in a series of stories showing how Kiwis are navigating changing energy needs — and electrifying their lives along the way.

At the heart of the campaign is Meridian’s Community Decarb Fund, powered by proceeds from its Business Certified Renewable Energy product. It helps community groups adopt solar, battery, and EV tech to reduce emissions and save money.

Those energy savings go right back into their communities — supporting conservation, food rescue, medical services, youth initiatives, and wellbeing projects. So far, it’s funded over $3 million in impact.

The first three stories feature Kaibosh, The Raglan Community House and The Kaipātiki Project. Each one shows how these groups are making real change — and how Meridian is backing them with the tools to do more.

Produced by Good Oil Films, the campaign will roll out across TV, OOH, press, social and digital. Each piece is upbeat, people-focused, and packed with community spirit.

It’s about the people behind these initiatives — the energy they bring to others every day, and how Meridian is helping that energy go further, cleaner and cheaper.
