VMO adds five new locations to its shopping list

AUCKLAND, Today: VMO has secured exclusive media rights across five more Kiwi retail centres, tightening its grip on New Zealand’s booming retail media scene after a competitive pitch.

The new sites are part of the Colliers-managed portfolio and include Hunters Plaza and Highbury Mall in Auckland, Papamoa Plaza in Tauranga, Richmond Mall in Nelson, and Barrington Mall in Christchurch.

At Highbury and Barrington, VMO now holds exclusive rights across all screen formats—building on the large-format screen deal announced earlier this year.

Each centre is anchored by a supermarket and popular national retailers, drawing more than 18 million shoppers every year.*

The rollout kicks off in July 2025, starting with Hunters Plaza, and includes both path to purchase screens and large format displays.

Since launching its NZ retail network in August 2024, VMO’s footprint has grown fast—covering Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and a mix of regional locations.

“Our continued investment reflects the strong demand from advertisers and our commitment to delivering scale across retail media in New Zealand,” said Rob Forsyth.
