AUCKLAND, Today: NZME is keeping the good times rolling at Riccarton Park, renewing its exclusive media partnership with the racecourse and backing Canterbury’s biggest week of racing, fashion, and entertainment.
The multi-year deal locks in NZME as Riccarton’s official media partner for Cup Week—a three-day spectacle in November that draws punters, partygoers, and fashionistas from across the country.
Danny Valentine, NZME’s Christchurch Sales Manager, says the renewed partnership builds on momentum and complements NZME’s link with The Royal A&P Show of New Zealand, another Canterbury favourite.
As part of the deal, NZME will bring the ZM Entertainment Zone—complete with DJs and big energy—back to New Zealand Cup Day on Saturday 15 November, the main event of the week.
The full Riccarton lineup includes Opening Day (8 November), Ladies Day (12 November), and Cup Day (15 November), each offering a different vibe across racing, hospitality and fashion.
“The partnership reflects NZME’s ongoing commitment to supporting major events that drive economic activity and bring communities together in Canterbury.” – Danny Valentine
“We’re thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Riccarton Park Racecourse. This collaboration allows us to connect our valued Canterbury clients with one of the region’s most prestigious events, providing exceptional opportunities to reach engaged local audiences during the highlight of the social calendar.
“The partnership reflects NZME’s ongoing commitment to supporting major events that drive economic activity and bring communities together in Canterbury,” Valentine adds.
Janine Tindall-Morice, NZME’s Southern Regional Head, says it’s not just about ads—it’s about deepening community ties and showcasing Canterbury at its best.
“Through our partnership with Riccarton we’re not just supporting outstanding events, but we’re helping to strengthen the connection between Canterbury’s premier racing experiences and audiences nationwide.
“It’s a partnership that delivers real value for our clients and celebrates what makes our region so special.”
Hospitality packages are on sale now, with general admission tickets up for grabs from 1 September.
