AUCKLAND, Today: Stuff Digital has brought in a new Head of Investment and Digital Initiatives, with Saj Patel stepping into the role as the commercial team gears up post-Trade Me announcement.

Patel joins the senior team this month, reporting to Commercial Director Jaana Collins. He’ll be leading strategic investment efforts while pushing fresh digital solutions for Stuff’s partners.

With a background at FCB and experience in London publishing, Patel has also held key roles at NZME and The Spinoff. He’s spent the past two years as Group Sales Manager – Digital at Stuff.

Collins says Patel’s appointment reflects his commercial strength and ability to see the big picture. “Saj has a wealth of experience in New Zealand’s digital media landscape and has driven tangible solutions across Stuff Group working closely with our commercial and editorial teams,” she says.

“Over the past six months Saj has really leaned into the investment space and delivered some great, mutually beneficial, results which our partners have welcomed. He has a fantastic reputation in the market and has maintained this through a time of real disruption.”

Patel says the industry is shifting fast, and his focus will be on helping partners connect with Kiwis through smart tech and creative solutions.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve strengthened our focus on data-driven outcomes and grown our commercial ecosystem, helping to redefine what’s possible for our advertisers and audience alike,” he says.

“I’m excited to help lead this next phase of Stuff’s evolution and work with our partners to drive sustainable commercial success.”
