AUCKLAND, Today: Thompson Spencer has welcomed Megan Clark Cook as Managing Partner. Known for integration and opportunity, she’ll help steer growth, shaping new and existing client partnerships while amplifying the power of the agency’s expanded offering.

After merging with Reason earlier this year, the agency united seven specialist businesses and an in-house production suite under one brand. This positions Thompson Spencer as one of New Zealand’s largest independents, with momentum growing daily.

Clark Cook joins at a crucial moment, ensuring the agency’s many capabilities hum together. Her focus is delivering seamless, full-funnel creative, media, and performance solutions for clients across New Zealand and abroad.

“Megan is an outstanding leader, with the rare ability to blend entrepreneurial drive with big-network expertise,” says Melanie Spencer, Co-CEO of Thompson Spencer.

“As well as proving her ability to build businesses from scratch, she’s driven growth for some of the world’s most iconic brands. Bringing her on board as Managing Partner is a huge win for us, and most importantly, for our clients.

“She will help harness and direct the incredible opportunities now possible with Thompson Spencer’s ever-growing expertise.”

Clark Cook has long pedigree. She launched Copper Brand Experiences, New Zealand’s first experiential agency, growing it into the country’s most awarded in its field before selling to WPP.

She later held Managing Partner roles at Wunderman Thompson and Ogilvy, helping major brands like Samsung, Ford, The University of Auckland, and Coca-Cola thrive through accelerated growth and strengthened partnerships.

Beyond her client work, she’s been an influential industry voice, serving on the Comms Council Executive Board, chairing multiple councils, and judging locally and globally at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, Effies, Axis, and Pressies.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining Thompson Spencer,” says Clark Cook. “The agency has grown into a true independent and integrated powerhouse, with a staggering amount of deep, specialist expertise.

“What has me the most fired up is the opportunity to help the team unlock the full potential of that integration for our clients, delivering unstoppable impact.”

With Clark Cook’s arrival, and a growing team of specialists under one roof, Thompson Spencer is setting a high bar for what independent agencies can achieve through scale, integration, and results.
