AUCKLAND, Today: Bec Sandys has been named the new daytime host for Radio Hauraki, bringing her trademark humour and energy to the airwaves. The comedian and media producer is no stranger to the station’s loyal listeners.
Sandys has previously hosted summer shows, popped up on weekends, and is already well known to cricket fans through The Alternative Commentary Collective (The ACC).
With a career spanning comedy, events, and creative media projects, Sandys is recognised for her sharp wit and easy connection with audiences. Her Canterbury roots also strengthen Hauraki’s presence in the South Island.

For now, she’ll host from Christchurch, giving Hauraki a stronger South Island connection before making the move to Auckland later this year.
