AUCKLAND, Today: MintHC has been appointed by Te Pae Christchurch to lead the campaign for The Art of Banksy, the world’s biggest collection of Banksy works, arriving in Ōtautahi Christchurch from 17 December 2025 to 27 January 2026.
The global exhibition features more than 150 pieces – from prints to canvases – and Christchurch will be the final New Zealand stop before the artworks return to their owners.
At the core of MintHC’s campaign is strategist Lee Parkinson’s idea: What would Banksy do? The campaign mirrors Banksy’s rebellious tone, using street-level disruption, non-traditional media, and attention-grabbing stunts that blend seamlessly into the city.
Commercial Director Tim Jones said, “This campaign is the kind we thrive on – balancing daring creativity with precise strategy. “Our focus is to increase awareness, create intrigue, and drive demand by using disruptive tactics that cut through the noise.
“The aim is to earn attention in ways that feel authentic to the spirit of the exhibition, while generating content and momentum at the same time.”
The campaign will feature bold outdoor activations and immersive experiences across Christchurch’s CBD, supported by digital, outdoor, and broadcast channels. MintHC plans to keep things fresh with spontaneous moments and playful surprises designed to capture the city’s attention.
