AUCKLAND, Today: To celebrate Auckland FC’s second season, ANZ Bank New Zealand teamed up with Eleven PR to bring football fandom into the heart of the city. Their Queen Street branch was transformed into an oversized fan zone built for supporters.
The Locker Room activation turned the branch into an Auckland FC-themed football hub. Fans could check out player nameplates, real jerseys, and a “No.1 Fan” bay to capture their own locker-room moment.
On launch day, hundreds of fans braved the rain to meet players, join competitions, snap photos, and pick up branded keepsakes.
Outside, a huge 13-metre-wide window decal showing an ANZ-branded football “smashing” through glass created a month-long street-front celebration of Auckland FC pride.
“We wanted to give fans a chance to step into the action, celebrate their heroes, and take home a prized keepsake.” – Eleisha Balmer, Client Partner at Eleven PR

Across two months, the campaign reached more than 5.3 million people, attracted nearly six hundred attendees on the day, and saw over 900 branded items handed out. The window display alone was viewed an estimated one million times.
“We wanted to give fans a chance to step into the action, celebrate their heroes, and take home a prized keepsake,” said Eleisha Balmer, Client Partner at Eleven PR.
“Transforming the Queen Street branch into part super fan, and part Locker Room let us showcase the new season two jersey while creating a moment that was fun, iconic, and shareable – exactly the kind of real-world experience fans are looking for today.”
Sarah Rogan, Head of Sponsorship at ANZ added, “This activation brought our sponsorship to life in a way that genuinely connected with fans and families. Turning our branch into a celebration of Auckland pride and football passion reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting local sport.”
With strong results from the Locker Room experience, the custom-built assets will continue appearing at future ANZ x Auckland FC fan events and in-branch displays, strengthening the partnership for seasons ahead.
