ASA releases 2025 ad revenue figures and revised 2024 turnover report

AUCKLAND, Today: The Advertising Standards Authority has reported that advertising revenue across main media reached $4.115 billion for the 12 months ended 31 December 2025.

The turnover report covers television, newspapers, magazines, interactive media, radio, out-of-home, addressed mail, unaddressed mail and cinema.

Following updated methodology from the Interactive Advertising Bureau for its social media estimate, the ASA has also issued a revised Advertising Turnover Report for 2024.

The revised figure for advertising revenue across main media for the 12 months ended 31 December 2024 is now $3.816 billion.

The ASA says the industry’s annual turnover statistics continue to be made available through the Authority.

It also noted that the table and accompanying notes can be found on the ASA website.

For media comment on the figures in the table, the ASA has asked media to contact the contributing media sectors listed on page two of the report.
