AUCKLAND, Today: OneRoof is making renting a lot easier, teaming up with property management tech company Tenancy to create a smoother experience for renters and a more efficient one for property managers.
The partnership lets renters search listings, book viewings and apply for properties directly through OneRoof, all in one place.
For property managers, it takes care of some of the earliest and most time-consuming parts of the rental process, including organising viewings and managing applications.
That is expected to mean fewer missed enquiries, faster turnaround on vacant properties, and a more polished experience for people looking for a place to live.
The new feature has been built specifically for professionally managed properties and is available to the more than 4,000 property managers already using Tenancy.
“This is exactly the kind of innovation that makes OneRoof invaluable to New Zealanders.” – James MacAvoy, Chief of OneRoof
Together, those managers oversee a sizeable slice of New Zealand’s rental market, giving the partnership real reach from day one.
James MacAvoy, Chief of OneRoof says, “This is exactly the kind of innovation that makes OneRoof invaluable to New Zealanders. Our goal has always been to be with our users at every step of the property journey and that isn’t limited to buying and selling.
“Renting is how a huge number of Kiwis experience the property market, and by partnering with Tenancy we are making it genuinely easier for renters to find and secure a home through OneRoof, while also providing a better service to the property managers who power that market,” MacAvoy says.
Samantha Foreman, General Manager for Tenancy says, “We’re pleased to partner with OneRoof as one of the country’s leading property platforms. Our technology gives both tenants and property managers peace of mind that it is a safe and compliant way to secure a tenancy.
“By connecting OneRoof’s large audience directly with Tenancy’s technology infrastructure, the two companies will be providing a more connected, more efficient rental marketplace.”
