A Dog’s Show kicks off filming with star-studded cast

AUCKLAND, Today: Principal photography is officially underway for A Dog’s Show, the feature inspired by the classic Kiwi series loved nationwide.

The story unfolds across New Zealand’s rural heartland, shining a light on the bond between people and their hardworking four-legged mates.

Written and directed by Alex Galvin, the film blends character, scenery, and heart. It’s produced by Mark Westerby and Celia Jaspers, with Tim White as Executive Producer.

Distributed by Transmission Films, A Dog’s Show is set for a late-2026 release. Filming across Wellington and Wairarapa will spotlight iconic rural communities and landscapes.
