AUCKLAND, Friday: Dementia Auckland, Lumo Digital, media strategists Conductor, and strategic agency Quantum Jump collaborated last week to illuminate Sky Tower, Spark Arena, and the Auckland Harbour Bridge – in teal – to support awareness of dementia, as part of a global Light the World in Teal campaign.

Dementia Auckland ceo Martin Bremner said:“We wanted to build on our recent Light in the Darkness campaign which was a huge success in growing engagement and understanding of how dementia impacts so many Aucklanders.

“Dementia is now the third largest cause of death in New Zealand. Light the World in Teal is a powerful visual global initiative that we were keen to get in behind. Auckland has great landmarks to support this.

“Lumo have done an amazing job supporting us with great locations around the city, and Quantum Jump’s creative has looked great out in the city.

“We’ve loved evolving the Light in the Darkness creative territory to deliver Light the Night in Teal; it’s a simple but striking visual twist and it’s great to have so many digital locations to support it.

Quantum Jump ceo Ben Goodale said: “Lumo came to the party. Hat tip to John Baker for bringing in them on this, and to Jon Ramage and Mike Hall of PR Partners for a great PR plan.

Lumo ceo Hamish Smith said: “We all know loved ones who have been affected by Dementia, whether that be a friend or family member and it’s a cause we are very proud to support.”
