AUCKLAND, Today: Christmas in Auckland is set to feel even more festive with the Downtown Christmas Market — a vibrant collaboration between Britomart Market and General Collective, coming together for their first dedicated Christmas event across Te Komititanga and Takutai Square.
The city centre will turn into a vibrant holiday spot, centred around a giant Christmas tree in Te Komititanga. Visitors can wander between both markets, packed with curated stalls featuring handmade gifts, summer fashion, art, toys, homewares, gourmet treats and local makers.
Commercial Bay’s Merry Market carts will add even more festive flair, offering Christmas goodies and exclusive samples. Queens Wharf will host a free children’s Christmas card workshop for young creatives keen to get involved.
Families can also enjoy free balloon twisting, plus live music throughout the day to set a relaxed, joyful vibe. With plenty of food options around, visitors are encouraged to settle in. shop local, grab lunch and soak up the Christmas atmosphere.
