AXIS Speaks returns with global creative heavyweights

AUCKLAND, Today: Five global creative heavyweights are heading to Auckland for AXIS Speaks 2026, serving up a morning packed with ideas, perspective shifts and industry inspiration.

Hosted by Peter Vegas, the session blends cultural strategy, top-tier creativity and entrepreneurial thinking from speakers spanning multiple corners of the creative world.

Marcus Collins, Professor, University of Michigan and former Chief Strategy Officer, Wieden + Kennedy, brings sharp thinking on culture, behaviour and how brands connect meaningfully with audiences.

Andy Blood, Lecturer in Creative Entrepreneurship and former leader at TBWA, Colenso BBDO and Facebook New Zealand, shares insights from one of advertising’s most awarded global careers.

Elle Bullen, Creative Partner, Hellions, balances copywriting, motherhood and entrepreneurship, having launched two agencies while earning major honours including the Cannes Grand Prix for Good.

Tau’ili’ili Alpha Maiava, musician and creator, explores Pacific heritage through his series Instruments of the Moana, documenting traditional sounds across seven islands before they disappear.

Yuki Kihara, interdisciplinary artist based in Sāmoa, challenges historical narratives through work spanning performance, photography, sculpture, film and curatorial practice.

The event aims to stretch thinking, spark ideas and set the creative tone for the year ahead across advertising, marketing and production.
