AUCKLAND, Friday: The Comms Council has named the 99 finalists who will contest the Beacon Awards next month.
PHD heads the list with 22 nods, followed by MBM (16), Dentsu (15), OMD (13), Ikon (8), and Special Group (6).
FCB Media (7), OMG and MediaCom (5 apiece), Starcom and Zenith (a brace each) and Together (1).
Media Business of the Year finalists are TVNZ and Lumo; Sales Team finalists are TVNZ, TRB, and oOh!

“It’s always nice to have our work recognised by our peers,” said PHD Group ceo Nikki Grafton. “But it’s particularly pleasing this year to have so many diverse categories and clients represented.
“Given the challenges we’ve all faced in the last couple of months, it’s good to be able to pause and celebrate some pretty epic campaigns for our clients.”
Virtual ceremony
The winners will be unveiled at a virtual Beacon Awards ceremony on Wednesday 3 June at 4pm.
