AUCKLAND, Today: Appliance Outlet has launched a new outdoor campaign just in time for Black Friday, poking fun at major appliance retailers and reminding Kiwis that paying full price doesn’t always make sense.

Based in East Tamaki, Appliance Outlet offers a huge range of brand-new, refurbished, and factory-second appliances – from kitchen gear to TVs and heat pumps, all tested and approved by in-house technicians.

Every product, from retailer returns to box-damaged stock, performs exactly like the ones sold by big-box stores, just without the matching price tag. All items come with at least a one-year warranty, letting shoppers save without compromise.

Created with independent marketing consultancy Art of the Possible ANZ, the campaign uses witty, context-driven humour to highlight price differences and celebrate challenger thinking.

Outdoor placements surround major competitors near Appliance Outlet’s East Tamaki base, using bright green designs to catch shoppers’ eyes and deliver a cheeky reminder that better deals are just up the road.

Russell Clements, Owner of Appliance Outlet, says the campaign captures the brand’s playful, straight-talking spirit.

“What I love about this campaign is that it taps back into that spirit. It’s a reminder that challenger brands can call out the category leaders with wit, warmth and good-natured Kiwi humour.” – Adam Brami, Director of Art of the Possible ANZ

“We know Kiwis appreciate straight-talking value – and a bit of humour. This campaign reflects exactly that. Working with Adam and the team at Art of the Possible, we wanted to have a little fun while reminding people that there’s a smarter, more sustainable way to shop for appliances. Every item we sell has been tested, guaranteed, and priced fairly – so the only thing we cut corners on is price.”

Adam Brami, Director of Art of the Possible ANZ, says the campaign revives a sense of friendly rivalry often missing in local advertising.

“What I love about this campaign is that it taps back into that spirit. It’s a reminder that challenger brands can call out the category leaders with wit, warmth and good-natured Kiwi humour.

It’s so commendable that Russell and his team have had the bravery to channel that challenger energy – to show that taking on the big players can be done with confidence, creativity, and a smile.”
