AUCKLAND, Today: Beccie B is swapping late nights for early mornings, making the move from George Nights to breakfast radio after two epic years behind the decks.
“I can handle an early morning, but usually it’s more of a post DJ set situation! Seriously though, I can’t wait to bring some of that late night chaos and energy to a breakfast morning show with the boys,” says Beccie.
One of Aotearoa’s most in-demand DJs, Beccie’s played every major festie from RnV to Electric Ave, supported legends like Fisher and Fatboy Slim, and even run her own raves for years.
Joining Lee and Beccie B on George Breakfast is sports guru and fizz merchant Ben Searle, aka Searley. Listeners will already know him from filling in on the show and his Searley Talk Sports segment, plus the George Sports podcast.
Searley says, “Aside from the sports stuff I’m a long-time George listener and 11 year RnV veteran, so I’m fizzed to combine two of my passions, sport and music, with my third passion – giving my old mate General Lee shit.”
Lee, who’s been part of the George Breakfast crew for the past six years, brings more than 25 years of DJ experience to the mix.
“So keen to rip in with these two legends, and keep bringing the latest and greatest dance music to the people of Aotearoa, with plenty of loose antics along the way,” says Lee.
With Beccie B heading to breakfast, Saturday arvo favourite Rangi will take over hosting duties for George Nights.
