AUCKLAND, Today: Lifestyle marketing agency MKTG NZ has promoted Kimberly Kastelan as its new general manager, following Fleur Skinner’s resignation. Previously, she was a group account director.

Skinner now exits her seat on Dentsu Aegis Network’s innovation council, after almost 10 years in the business.

She joined DAN in 2009 to open the New Zealand office of Australian PR and content agency Haystac. In 2016 Haystac evolved to MKTG in New Zealand as DAN consolidated PR, social, experiential, sponsorship and sampling into one global network brand.

DAN NZ ceo Robert Harvey said: “Fleur has made a huge contribution both culturally and commercially to our business, from her initial time setting up Haystac, and then more recently with the launch and growth of the MKTG business.

“Fleur’s impact can be felt throughout our group and she leaves the business in excellent shape.”

Kimberly Kastelan will step into her new role after four years as MKTG GAD.

“I’m really pleased to be leaving the agency in great shape and under Kim’s leadership.”

Robert Harvey said: “Kim has been an outstanding performer within our business and has earned the opportunity to lead the MKTG business and join DAN NZ’s executive leadership team. I’m confident that Kim will continue the great momentum that has been built. The MKTG team and our clients are in great hands.”

Kastelan said: “Taking on the role of GM of MKTG is a privilege given how talented and driven the team are and I look forward to continuing our success in 2019.”

Fleur Skinner will depart at the end of this month, and will be talking time off to decide her next career step.

“I’m really proud of my contribution to DAN, and I’m very sad to say farewell, not least because of the many wonderful people there,” she said. “But I’m really pleased to be leaving the agency in great shape and under Kim’s leadership.

“Kim Kastelan is an extraordinary consultant and leader, and I will miss her terribly. But I’m also looking forward to taking some time out of agency land, and I’m really enthusiastic about diving into something new and different.”
