Colenso, Ogilvy/Stanley St score heavily at Ad Stars (Updated)

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA, Sunday: Colenso BBDO took out the Ad Stars’ Film Grand Prix for DB Breweries I’m Drinking it for You at Ad Stars at the weekend. Colenso also won four gold trophies, while Ogilvy/Stanley St NZ won two golds.

Film judge Robin Fitzgerald (CCO at BBDO Atlanta) said: “From strategy through to storytelling, the DB campaign defies the clichés of low-carb beer.

“Usually positioned as the beer for people who work out, Colenso positioned drinking low-carb beer as one of the most selfless acts you can do.”

Colenso won one of its golds for I’m Drinking – in Radio & Audio. “We’ve seen great songs composed for brands before, but in this instance the idea is good, the execution is great, and the copywriting is brilliant,” said the judges.

Colenso’s 4th gold came in the Design category for Spark Kupu.

Ogilvy/Stanley St NZ’s two Golds both came in the Video Stars category for Auckland Transport The Most Dangerous Stunt in the World.
