Lions Innovation, the specialist two-day event taking place as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, has appointed NZ-based strategist Jane Stanley as a member of the Creative Data Lions jury.

Stanley is managing director of OMG’s alalytics arm, Annalect. She is the only Kiwi in the release overnight of the full Cannes Innovation & Creative Data Lions juries.

Kantar UK ceo Eric Salama will lead a multinational jury – from Mexico, NZ, USA, France and South Korea – for the Creative Data Lions.

“Lions Innovation is the event where groundbreaking applications of creativity in technology are demonstrated,” said Cannes Lions chair Terry Savage. “It’s a breeding ground for new ideas to be fostered and exchanged, where partnerships are formed which will propel the industry into the future. The winning work, judged by our global jury members, will offer snapshots of a future-focussed industry and we’re anticipating some cutting-edge innovations to be awarded in 2017.”

Alongside awarding the best work across Innovation and Creative Data, the two-day Lions Innovation event this year has launched The Discovery Zone, a dedicated programme for early-stage tech companies. The Zone invites 100 game-changing start-ups from across the global tech ecosystem to join forces with the biggest players in advertising and marketing, including exclusive mentoring opportunities and round table discussions.

The Lions Innovation runs Monday 19 June & Tuesday 20 June.
