DDB unleashes new Warehouse campaign

DDB has unveiled the biggest brand campaign for The Warehouse in recent times. Its aim is to inspire audiences to “Get that bargain feeling at The Warehouse”, riffing off the retailer’s legendary Where Everyone Gets a Bargain tagline.

DDB chief creative officer Damon Stapleton says a bargain isn’t something you just rationally understand – it’s something you instinctively feel.

“A bargain might make you smile, it might make you skip, it might make you strut or fist-pump,” he says. “It’s a great feeling, one of winning, like you’ve done well. The Warehouse isn’t just the place where everyone gets a bargain, but rather where you go to get that bargain feeling.”

The Warehouse general manager of marketing, Lorraine Breheny said, “There’s a tangible emotion you feel when you get a bargain. We’ve been ringing this feeling to New Zealanders for over 30 years and it’s really exciting to see this come to life in the new campaign.”

The campaign kicked off last week with a teaser video of a sweet customer celebrating her bargain feeling at The Warehouse – as captured by ‘security footage’.

The campaign is heroed by a 60” TVC and supported by a 30” edit, shorter spots, A0 street posters, digital Adshells, bus sides, a Stuff.co.nz homepage takeover and paid support on Facebook.
