AUCKLAND, Today: TBWA\New Zealand has added four senior hires across strategy and business management, continuing its momentum after major client wins and being named Most Effective Agency of the Year at the 2024 Effie Aotearoa Awards.
Joining the Disruption Company are Haley Hetherington (Planning Director), Ellen Scholes (Senior Planner), Harriette Hanson (Group Business Director), and Michael Lyons (Senior Business Director) – each bringing fresh energy and global experience to the expanding team.
Haley Hetherington joins from Ogilvy London, where she led strategy for Lloyds Bank and Google Pixel. She’s also worked with The Monkeys, Proximity, and The Clemenger Group, bringing a sharp understanding of how creativity fuels real business growth.
Ellen Scholes arrives after several years at BBH London, where she developed brand strategies for Blackstone, Genentech and Volkswagen. She brings global perspective, strategic discipline, and a passion for turning smart ideas into beautifully disruptive work.
Harriette Hanson steps in as Group Business Director after six years at Grey London, where she served as Deputy Head of Account Management. Known for her leadership and creative excellence, she’s worked on global campaigns for Coca-Cola, HSBC, Nestlé and Arla.

Michael Lyons joins as Senior Business Director after more than four years at Special New Zealand, leading accounts like Entain and Contact. His London stint adds deep experience in brand transformation and strong client partnerships.
