AUCKLAND, Today: No forms. No extra fees. No limit on callouts. Just solid car insurance with free AMI Roadside Rescue, now included with all AMI Comprehensive Car policies from this week.

Whether it’s your car, someone else driving it, or you behind the wheel — AMI Roadside Rescue is along for the ride. It’ll kick in automatically for new sign-ups or at renewal.

Dean MacGregor, AMI Executive General Manager Supply Chain and Hub Services says, “As a leading insurer, we want to be there for New Zealanders in their time of need.

“We are committed to making things easy for our customers – whether that’s deploying our AMI HomeHub teams to assist immediately following a natural hazard event, getting vehicles repaired, serviced and back out on the road sooner through our AMI MotorHubs, for a jump start, a tow after a breakdown, or to make a quick tyre change via our nationwide AMI Roadside Rescue network – we are dedicated to being there to get our customers back on their feet as quickly as possible.

“Our customers tell us they’re not interested in loads of form filling, extra membership fees and discounts for services they’re never going to use. They just want access to fast, exceptional roadside rescue, where and when they need it.” – Dean MacGregor

To celebrate, AMI’s rolling out the country’s first AMI Rescue Road — offering free help to any driver on a popular holiday route this King’s Birthday and Matariki weekends.

The first Rescue Road kicks off 5pm Friday 30 May to 6am Tuesday 3 June, covering SH7 and SH7A between Waipara and Hanmer Springs. No need to be an AMI customer.

They’re also setting up an AMI Driver Reviver rest-stop at Hurunui Rest Area on Monday 2 June, from 11am to 4pm, to help drivers take a breather during long drives.

These roadside rest stops are backed by AMI’s community risk team and local partners including councils, Fire and Emergency NZ, Police, Hato Hone St John and others.
