From Vogue to FQ: Charlotte Slebos Foote brings London experience home
AUCKLAND, Today: British Vogue and FARFETCH aren't bad names to have on your CV. After nearly a decade in London, Charlotte Slebos Foote is bringing that experience home as Fashion Quarterly's new Strategy and Partnerships Director.
Slebos Foote most recently held senior advertising roles at FARFETCH, developing partnerships with Gucci, Valentino, Burberry and Balmain. Before that came four years at British Vogue, where she rose to Senior Account Director under editor Edward Enninful.
At Vogue, her client work included Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Coty Prestige. Now she'll work closely with FQ Editor-in-Chief, publisher and owner Sarah Murray, leading commercial strategy and partnerships across print, digital, social and events.
Murray is delighted with the appointment. "We knew early on that Charlotte was the perfect person for this role," says Murray. "She's intelligent, has a deep understanding of today's media landscape and is a true forward thinker.
To bring someone of Charlotte's calibre back to New Zealand is a real coup for FQ, and she will be central to how we grow our partnerships from here.” – Sarah Murray, Editor-in-Chief, Publisher and Owner, Fashion Quarterly
She has spent the past decade working with the world's most influential luxury houses, and she understands exactly what these brands need from a partner and how to connect them with an audience in a way that feels authentic.
To bring someone of Charlotte's calibre back to New Zealand is a real coup for FQ, and she will be central to how we grow our partnerships from here."
For Slebos Foote, the move is also a homecoming. "After nearly 10 years in London, it feels good to be back in New Zealand with such an iconic New Zealand brand.
I'm looking forward to building on that foundation, bringing in new ideas and creating great partnerships for our brand partners."
